Full Version: Where Would You March?
Nex
If you had the ability to march in any show by any brassline from any year, what would it be? If you can't narrow it down to one, give us your top 3. For me?
  • Star '92 - The best hornline Star ever put out. They don't get nearly the credit they deserve, and often get over-shadowed by '93 in talk. These guys were amazing.
  • Phantom '96 - Do I really need to explain this one?
  • Cadets '85 - Music from Candide, Michael Klesch's first year arranging, a championship, and just good ol' fashioned Cadets.
Honorable mention goes to Crown '07 . . . just damn.

You heard in Atlanta, no? A dome doesn't count . . . that's like trying to compare two choirs singing Carmina Burana after being run through a filter that turns the reverb up by 1,000,000.

Legends 08 - This is going to be a blast.
Phantom 89/03/07 - Mmm... hot.
Madison Scouts 07 - Mello book was balls

Madison 95- Pure energy are pouring of their bells. I just wanted to scoop it up and save some for myself.
Cadets 00- My director taught them that year and I just love the mellos.
Cavaliers 04- The very last halt at the end, the very last statement, the mellos play a trill. High D to Eb. biggrin.gif
Crown 07- I want to be one with the wall......of sound.
Phantom 07- Sick mellos in Firebird and just in general
Cadets 07- Sick mellos in general. Plus the show was just so BA.
Bluecoats 07- At my heart, I think I pump out blue blood (don't we all?). Their sonority just ripped me to pieces.
